Dear Chandra,
Thank-you for your interest in SumeroDravidian studies. I have collected the
relevant articles under Sumerian Studies in the Dravidian Philosphy Campus
(http://members.tripod.com/loga/tindex.htm) . There are also some under
Thunukku. I have also claimed that Hinduism is essentially Dravidian but
based upon my studies of Sumerian. You may be interested to know that there
is mention of Dingir Lama , the God of the warriors. The Lama can easily
change to Rama though Tamil grammar prohibits the initial occurence of
either 'r' or 'l'. But in Telugu, I understand such restrictions are
absent. The roots of Ramayana and many other puranaas may have in fact
Sumerian origins just like the Babylonian Astronomy and the Siddha medical
tradition. There is a beautiful epic by the name of Gilkamesh which was the
Mahabharata to ancient middle east . It is a moving tale of friendship
between the city dwelling Gilkamesh and forest dwelling Enkidu(EnkAdu?). It
may be metaphorical in nature describing the culturation processes whereby
the beastly in man is tamed and cultured. There are many Sumerian books
available in barnesandnoble that is advertised everywhere in the internet.
Please get them and start SumeroDravidian studies. I am sure you will
really enjoy it.

Warm regards

Dr K.Loganathan
