I have been trying for a work around to convert all the available tsc
fonts for linux usage *using some solutions available with
freetype.org) under xwin. The new RedHat6.x has already been equipped
with some basic software patched for this purpose to their xservers.
I am now struck at 3/4 th of the way. Though I am confident that I can
eventually work it out. The delay is frustrating. If anyone wishes to
join me in this effort, please contact me.
The idea is to use excellent freesoft available with linux, like xfig
and the latest GIMP image manipulation programs to create good drawings
in tamil *and web logos* using scrift-fus. This will go a long way in
making drawings for science teaching.
