பூம்புகார் சிலப்பதிகார கலைக்கூடம் &பூம்புகார் குறித்து சமீபத்திய
மற்றும் கடந்த கால நினைவலைகள் சில.


நேரில் கண்டவை:

1973-ஆண்டில் கட்டப்பட்டு சில ஆண்டுகள் வரை"பராமரிப்பு" பரவாயில்லை
என்றளவில் இருந்தது.அருகில் சோழிகள்வடிவத்தில் சில தங்குமிடங்கள் [cottages]
இருந்தன.உணவு விடுதி ஒன்றும் சாப்பிடகூடிய தரத்தில் உணவுகளை கொண்டு
இயங்கி வந்தது.கடற்கரையில்,காவிரிகடலில் புகும் இடம்வரைக்கும்
பேருந்து செல்லும் வகையில் ஒரு சாலைஇருந்தது.கண்ணகி சிலையும்
கம்பீரமாக வங்களாவிரிகுடா கடலைபார்த்துக் கொண்டு ஒரு மேடையில் உறுதியாக
நின்று கொண்டிருந்தது.

1977-78 வருட காலங்களிலிருந்து பராமரிப்பு குறைய ஆரம்பித்தது.சிலம்பு
வடிவத்தில் கட்டப்பட்டிருந்த பேருந்துநிறுத்துமிடத்தில் தினமும் கருவாடுஉலர்த்தப்படுவது
வாடிக்கையானது.தங்குமிடங்களை மழைக்காலத்தில் அணுககூடமுடியாத அளவில்
அங்கு இருந்த சாலைகள் இல்லாமல் போயின.இலஞ்சி மன்றத்திற்கு மூக்கை
கைகுட்டையால் மூடாமல் போய்வர வழிஇல்லாமல் போனது.காவிரி நதி புகுமுகத்திற்கு
போகும் சாலை மணல்மூடி பயனில்லாமல்ஆகியது.உணவு விடுதி மூடப்பட்டு
அருகிலுள்ள "காக்கா" கடை மட்டுமே சாப்பிடும் இடமென்றாகியது.
இவற்றிர்கெல்லாம் சிகரமாக கடற்கரை கண்ணகி சிலை கீழே விழுந்து,அலை ஏறும் நாட்களில்
கடல்நீரில் தலைகுளித்து கேட்பாரற்றுகிடந்தது.


கடந்த 1998 மார்கழியில் அங்கு சென்று வந்த எம் குடும்பத்தினர் சொன்னது:

கண்ணகி சிலை திரும்ப மேடையில்நிற்கவைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.ஆனால் அதனைதாங்கியுள்ள
மேடை கடலால் அரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதால் அதனை சீர்படுத்தும் பணி நடந்து கொண்டிருந்தது.
சிலப்பதிகார கலைக்கூடத்தின் முன்தோற்றம் பொலிவிழந்து காணப்பட்டது[எழுநிலை
மாடம் கொண்ட இக்கலைகூடத்தினுள் சிலம்பின் கதை பல சிலை வடிவங்களில்
எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளது.கரிகாற் சோழன்,கோவலன்,மாதவி,கண்ணகி ஆகியோரின் சிலைகள்
அழகான வடிவத்தில் அமைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தன]இலஞ்சி மற்ற பிற மன்றங்களும்
சீர் செய்யப்படவுள்ளன என்பது காற்றுவாக்கில் காதில் விழுந்ததாம்.

ஆயினும் தலையாய கவலை கடலரிப்பே என்று சொல்லப்பட்டது.கலைக்கூடமும்,
கடலலைகள் வந்து தொட்டு போகும் எல்லைக்கும் உள்ள தூரம் குறைந்துவருவது குறித்து
நடத்தபட வேண்டிய "போர்க்கால புனரமைப்பு பணிகள்"இன்னும் ஆரம்பிக்கப்படவில்லை
என்பதும் வருத்தத்துடன் காதில் விழுந்ததாம் :((

புகார் தவிர்த்த மற்ற அருகாமையிலுள்ளஊர்கள் சீர்காழி,வைத்தீசுவரன்கோவில்,திருவெண்காடு,
திருநள்ளாறு மற்றும் பற்பல இந்து வழிபாட்டு தலங்கள்.குடந்தை நகரம் மயிலாடுதுறையிலிருந்து
18 சொச்ச மைல்.
