Dear Mr.Natesan Satyendran,

I have a feeling that by "Tamil surnames", your friend
is really enquiring about the titles that go behind the names,
such as Padayaachee, Mudaliyar, Chettiyar, Pillai, etc.
On the other hand, among certain ethinic subgroups,
there are what are known as "kudippattams" like "rajaaliyaar,
manrayar, malzhavarayar, eekkuththiyaar, etc. These are also
something like surnames.
If your friend could clarify on this matter, i.e. what
exactly he seeks,then we could specifically try to answer his
queries to the best of our knowledge.
