As far as my readings go, there is *no* such rule.
I would like to be informed if what Mr. Srivas says is written
in a book? There are some Tamil letters that obviously go in the
counterclockwise direction.

Examples: Tamil letters like "pa, ma, ya, iRaTTaic cuzhik kombu"
and more.

All Tamil characters are written in clockwise fashion. This for me is
a hear say, though from very reliable persons. I looked at all the
characters and it lokks as though it is correct. However the iTaddai
combu could be written in both direction.

Does any one know of this rule and is it written in any procedural books?
