In Dr. Selvaa's scheme, rather than use the single quote sign (')
it might be preferrable to use the accent (`) , tilda (~), or hat (^).
I prefer the accent sign. Several European languages already use it.
Also, rather than use the modifier as a prefix to the letter, I would
like to suggest postfix. Thus:

ப`பு
கே`பு

etc. This will allow a font to put the accent on top of the letter to
be modifed though the user will still type in the accent. The postfix
allows us to sort the letter under the modified letter series rather
than a special grantha like series.
