Friends, please go and get the latest DAT file for your virus scan
engine. There are two HIGH RISK virus alert at this point of time.
One being, W32/Badtrans@mm
and the other is W32/Goner@mm, which is said to be the mother of all
virus for the year 2001??!!!
As many would virus is similar to the virus cold that we get in
human, where it has seasons. The same goes to computer virus too,
many virus would appear or come life normally during Dec-Jan. That's
one of the reason it is called virus. ;-)) So always be in high alert.
Also I would recommend if possible dont use ms (Microsoft) email
system such as outlook, would only make you a vulnerable victim!
Also beware of any attachment that has a file extension or "scr",
such as " HUMOR.MP3.scr" The example of filename I gave is a well
known virus that been lately circulating in the cyberworld.
Also make sure you know the sender as I said before, before opening
the attachments. Oh ya...almost forgottenஸit is also said that the
sender's email address normally starts with a underscore, ensample
_api1161v@r... This example is also from a real resourceஸso
look out for it.
And Naga, sorry to hear on the virus attack. Folks, its well worth to
invest some money in getting the original virus scanner software, so
that you could be up-to-dateஸ.as most of the latest software, do
automatically updates itself. Or atleast get the older ones for free
from the web.

To all,
My PC has been hit by some kind of virus. I'm tyring to clean it up.
Meanwhile, if anyone gets strange mail supposedly from me, please
alert me about it. Also do not open any file that comes with
attachments from my email account. I do not send attachments. When I
do so on rare occassions, I normally give advance notice about my
intention to post with attachments.
