I am pleased to inform you that I have now uploaded (at last!)
a webpage listing of all papers presented at the last Tamil
Internet 2001 conference under URL

with pointers added for direct download of PDF version of "extended
abstracts" of papers. I have uploaded all PDF files that I have with
me.
Authors who did not send in their extended abstract earlier may
send them to us. We will include them in this distribution.
It has been brought to our notice that in some papers there are some
errors. I humbly request all authors to download their pdf files and
make sure that everything is OK. If some of the pdf files need to be
corrected, I would appreciate receiving a corrected version of the
pdf file (with a copy to Mr. Narayanan, Executive Assistant at the
INFITT secretariat). We will replace upload your corrected version
as soon as possible.
For those who cannot prepare PDF files themselves, they can send me
their formatted text file (e.g, Word .doc or .rtf ) by email.
But please make sure that the Tamil text is based either on
TAB or TSCII encoding. For glyphs/characters that are not part of
these encodings, please have them as a small image (.jpg or .gif)
file!.
At the time of end of TI2001, printed copies of the conference book
was still available. If someone would like to have a printed copy
of the conference book of abstracts, they may contact INFITT
secretariat for further details.
To promote maximum dissemination of information, INFITT Executive
Committee has decided to encourage authors to submit full length
version of their papers. Those who would like to take up this
opportunity may send PDF version of their revised paper. Here again
make sure that the Tamil text is either in TAB or TSCII!
Please feel free to repost this announcement to other Tamil mailing
lists, so that larger section of cyber Tamil community can have
access to papers presented at the last Tamil Internet 2001 meet.
