அன்புள்ள சந்திரா,
பெரிசிடம் கேட்டிருந்தாலும், கொஞ்சம்உரிமை எடுத்துக் கொண்டு நான் குறுக்கில் வருவதைத் தவறாக எடுத்துக் கொள்ளமாட்டார், பொருட்படுத்தமாட்டார் என்று நினைக்கிறேன்.
வால்மீகி இராமாயணத்தில் விஷ்ணுவின் அம்சம் நான்கு சகோதரர்களிடம் எப்படிப் பிரிந்தது என்றொரு கணக்கு வருகிறது.
பாலகாண்டம் பதினெட்டாவது சர்க்கம்.
"...mother Kausalya (the eldest wife of Dasaratha) gave birth to a highly blessed son named Sri Rama, who was (no other than) the Lord of the Universe, the adored of all the (three) worlds, the delight of Ikswaku's race, who represented one half of Lord Visnu..." (a portion from Sloka 8-11)
"(Next) through (the womb of) Kaikeyi (the youngest wife of King Dasaratha)was born Bharata, possessed of true valour, who actually represented a quarter of Lord Visnu..." (a portion of Sloka 13)
"Sumitra (the second wife of King Dasaratha) then gave birth to (twin) sonsLakshmana and Satrughna, both valiant and skilled in the use of all (kindsof) missiles and (jointly) representing a portion (one-sixth) of Lord Visnu. (Sloka 14)
மொழிபெயர்ப்பாளர் one-sixth என்று சொன்னாலும் அது one-eighth என்று இருப்பதுதான் பொருத்தமாகப் படுகிறது. ராஜாஜியும் அவ்வாறே குறிப்பிடுகிறார். இந்தக் கணக்கைப் பற்றிச் சொல்லும்போது ராஜாஜிபின்வருமாறு சொல்கிறார்.
"இந்த விஷயங்கள் அவ்வளவு முக்கியமல்ல. கடவுளைப் பங்கு பண்ணி கணக்கிட முடியாது. பரம்பொருளில் ஒரு சிறு பங்கும் பூரணமாகவே நிற்கும் என்பது சுருதி." இதற்குப் பிறகு அந்த ஸ்லோகத்தைச் சொல்கிறார்.
ஓம் பூர்ணமதஹ் பூர்ணமிதம் பூர்ணாத் பூர்ணமுதச்யதே
பூர்ணஸ்ய பூர்ணமதாய பூர்ணமே வா வசிஷ்யதே
பூர்ணமிதம் என்பதுதான் சரியென்று தோன்றுகிறது. உங்களுடைய மொழிக்கூர்மை போற்றத் தக்கது.
பெரிசுக்குக் கண்பார்வை, உடல் நிலை, மனநிலை என்று பல இடர்ப்பாடுகள். கை தவறியிருக்கலாம். இத்தனை கஷ்டங்களுக்குநடுவில் விடாமல் அவர் இத்தனை செய்வது பெரிய விஷயம். மன உளைச்சல்களைக்கழற்றி வைத்துவிட்டு இயங்குவது எவ்வளவு கடினமானது என்பது எனக்குத் தெரியும்.
பெரிசையா, நான் தவறாக ஏதேனும் உளறியிருந்தால் மன்னித்துக் கொள்ளவும்.
