Thank you for your appreciation.
Yes, quite often the word aDiyAr has been translated to devotee.
So that would also be very much acceptable. I feel most of these
words are quivalebnts and not the exact translations. Both the words
aDiyAr and devotee have their own depth of meanings which are not
completely the same. As a matter of personal preference I chose the
word slave as against devotee.
