Dear Promads:

After covering some of the works of contemporary authors of Sri Lanka in origin,
we are pleased to release the first etext of Tamil works of authors of Malaysia:
a collection of short stories by a well known Malaysian Tamil author
Prof. R. Karthigesu. (oru cumArAna kaNavan, pakkiyam piRantirukkiRAL,
tirumputal & vanttityA rAcu! ) (in tamil script, TSCII format)

ரெ. கார்த்திகேசு சிறுகதைகள்
(ஒரு சுமாரான கணவன், பாக்கியம் பிறந்திருக்கிறாள்,
திரும்புதல் & வந்திட்டியா ராசு! )

This forms PM release # 131.

You can access the etext file using URL
http://www.tamil.net/projectmadurai//pub/pm0131/reka1.html
PDF version of the same etext file can be downloaded using URL
http://www.tamil.net/projectmadurai/pub/pm0131reka1.pdf

Our sincere thanks go to Prof. Karthigesu for willingly come forward to
place part of his short stories at Project Madurai, who has provided the
etext himself. Few more works of him will also be made available here
as soon as we have them converted to TSCII format and proof-read.
We sincerely hope that other leading authors of Malaysia, Singapore region
will also follow the suit by placing some key works as part of PM collections.

As with other releases, the Etext file is in TSCII format. So you
need to have one of the TSCII-conformant font faces in your computer
to view the file in Tamil script. You need to do two things.
i) Open the font preferences part of your Web browser and select your
preferred font face (TSCII conformant fontfaces carry TSC ending:
MylaiTSC, MaduramTSC, InaimathiTSC,...) for the User-defined case.
(Take note that InaimathiTSC font is available to the Windows system only
when Murasu Anjal is running in the background).
ii) select "user-defined" case for the font encoding for viewing
the above Etext file. If necessary reload the page after selecting
the user-defined encoding case.

anbudan,
Kalyan
