பேஜார் < வேசரவு என்னும் தமிழ்ச்சொல்.

வேய் அறுந்துபடல் என்பதாக இருக்கும் என எண்ணுகிறேன்.

வேய் = கூரை (கூரை மேய்தல். லட்சுமிசீனிவாசு வலை மேய்தல் பற்றிச் சொன்னார்).

"வேய்" (=கூரை) பழந்தமிழில் அரசனைக் குறித்திருக்கும் என நினைக்கிறேன்.
வேய் > வேந்து, காய் > காந்து.

சிந்து சமவெளி முத்திரைகளில் ஒரு செவ்வகம் மேல் கூரை (^ குறி) போட்டிருப்பர்.
இது கோ (=அரசன்/கடவுள்) குறிக்கும் எனக் கருதுகிறேன்.
