Dear Sarabeswar

[ igaram check : இ ஈ இன்பம் ஈரோடு ]

Thank u for ur input.
The piece I posted was taken from samachar.com article.
So your feedback should be sent to them as well.
I am sure you can get the id from the link in that mail.

Brahma as creator, Vishnu as saviour, Shiva as destroyer
- how "recent" is this "recent interpretation" ?
- what do scriptures and ancient religious works, literature say on this ?

Dear "fellow Coimbatorean (oorkkaarar) :-)" Dr Naga Ganesan

What difference does it make whether I am a "madhwa" or not ? :-)
What prompted you to ask this question ? :-)
Why should people think a kannada speaking person in TN is a madhwa ?
I have had this question asked numerous times, and so I take no offence
at your question.

>From my little circle of contacts, the number of KannadaSmaarthaas
is a small, and is less than maadhwaas in TN.

Usually I reply I am an Indian, Hindu, Tamilian, Kannadiga, Telugu,
Coimbatorean depending on the question and context.

For all practical purpose, Tamil is my mother tongue.
As per family traditions, Kannada is my mother tongue.
I wrote this long ago and I will write so in future too.

To listers,

Most of you know Dr Kandhavanam. I heard about him
and heard him speak - both for the first time yesterday.

My guess is he is the same person featured at
http://www.kavithai.com/english/bio.htm

http://www.google.com/search?q=kandavanam+tamil+toronto

He gave an excellent speech in Tamil, on the importance of
being a Hindu, the greatness and the richness of Hinduism,
quoted a lot from Tamil literature, and the importance of
MahaShivRaathri. This speech was given at RichmondHill SivaGanesh
temple yesterday - Please visit http://www.thehindutemple.ca/

- Thank You & Regards
- Suresh - http://www.egroups.com/messages/lsk/
