Dear Friends,
We started the Malaysian Indian email groups three years ago.
But due to adverse circumstances, we had to shelf it temporarily.
But in the meanwhile, three more Malaysian Indian groups were formed.
And one of them had almost the same name as Malaysian Indian. So, we
could not restart the Malaysian Indian because it would cause confusion and
ambiguity.
We waited instead. We have identified the spectrum of coverage that does
not get covered by the other groups.
We are relaunching Malaysian Indian with a new name.
It is now called NewMalaysianIndian@yahoogroups.com.
It will be a moderated group. It will deal with culture, traditions,
history, language, literature, and arts of the Tamils/Indians. Indian
issues will, of course be discussed. But this group is apolitical.
A lot of questions are being constantly directed towards the founder of
the group. Rather than answer them individually, it was decided to touch
upon such questions and their relevent matters in an email group . The
group would be very useful in that direction, since we have found that
Malaysian Indians - the younger generation especially - have a lot of
questions for which they don't get any answers from anywhere. Nobody
bothers about answering. This is what we have found out. There is no
denying of that fact.
Those who are already members of the existing groups are cordially
welcomed into the New Malaysian Indian. The old members of the Malaysian
Indian group will be resubscribed after a review.
Here is the URL to the home-page. Those of you who are interested may join
from there.
