There are even older editions in 19th century of
aRappaLicura catakam.

The book is centuries older: Done by AmbalavANak kavirAyar,
the son of famous cIkAzi aruNAcalak kavirAyar (author
of irAma nATakak kIrttanai, anuman2 piLLaitamiz, etc.)

AmbalavANak kavirAyar took refuge among Kong patrons:
aRappaLLi is caturagiri in Kollimalai vELukkuRicci.
AmbalavANak kavirAyar wrote Civamalaip purANam,
civan2malai is part of Kaangayam, and I do have
both the old printed versions of CivamalaippurANam
and plam leaves as well. Civamalai-p-purANam
is beautiful description of the Murukan-VaLLi affair.
