I contribute money thru' these tax-exempt foundations:
For example, to the Tamil chair at Univ. of California,
Berkeley and to TirukkuRaL and Tamil culturescape
handbook etc., The best thing to do is to contact
Tamil Nadu Foundation (this year Dr. Gomathinayakam
is its President, and there are others - I can give
you the address. Or, Tamil language foundation
in Chicago (Tiru. Al. Rammohan), and there are more
tax-exempt foundations. You pick your old tamil book(s),
have a budget, and donate money thru' one of the foundations.
Talk to folks in Madras publishers. I'm sure people
in Agathiyar and other lists will help you
locate the Publsihers' address: KaanthaLakam, Cre-A,
Kannadasan pathippakam, Bharati patippakam, AinthiNai, ....
In this way, Tamils in USA can bring out important (atleast
some) back into print.
