When we read the bard saint AzvAr's poetry we do not find
any protest either. .
Then there must be no untouchability during bhakti era also.

Still they were said to belong to dalit castes
Kumar, are you saying there was no untouchability in Sanskrit
texts same in time as the sangam period ? If untouchability
exists in Sanskrit texts (for which we have lot of data),
then sangam Tamils must have lived like an island!
