Subject: [erumbugal] Anbulla Melbourne Dr Sathyanathan: Advancing Tamil Voice Recognition

Great talking to you last week. Your establishment, your Melbourne clinic, is the first establishment in the Western world, that I know of, where the phone is answered in Tamil - super doc!

Dr Sathyanathan -- we talked about lots of things including your passion for Tamil and Tamil history. I mentioned that you *must* meet Penang, Malaysia-based Dr Loganathan mailto:subas@..., given your passion for Tamil origins and his relentless substantiated research on SumeroTamil amongst others.

Please make it a point to go by Penang, Malaysia on your way to Chennai this July. The combining of energies is desparately needed by Tamildom and if we do it we can give it the life it needs to make it in the new millenia. As a backgrounder to Dr Loga do check out his websites below.

Dr Kethes in Sydney first referred me to you re: the exploration you have done on Tamil sound origins and wavelength morphology, the union of Tamil alphabets and sounds, the wavelength relationships with Tamil dialects and its utility for voice recognition.

I am very adamant about moving Tamil voice recognition. Immediately this would enable the large number of keyboard-phobic Tamils onto Tamildom and the growth of Tamil IVR (interactive voice response) services badly needed for initiatives like our Tamildom Cooperative Bank. Just think of all the Tamil jobs it will give rise to.

It would bring the benefits of wired Tamildom to the underwired, and once they know the benefits, they will be more willing to go through other pains to get the full range of benefits.

Together with a voice recognition tech relationship I built trust with when I was in Chennai last month (he reckons we can have Tamil voice recognition for an R&D spend of US$2 million -- well worth it), and a relationship I am looking for with broadband-suppliers-looking-for-interactive-economic-applications Bharti Telecoms, I am confident Tamildom can make the hamper a winner.

Please send over what you have done so far and I will bring the relevant relatioships and resources into the loop.

I also briefed you on Thamil Innaiya Erumbugal. Ants with no government, no karma and no bank account to blame, have no problems with food and shelter. If wired Tamils cooperate together by doing ant-bites of work together over the Net, we can add more fuel to this digitally inspired Tamil Renaissance including Porulaathaara Thamil that Thamil Innaiyam began in 1995. Can you comprehend http://groups.yahoo.com/group/erumbugal and get back to me ASAP with questions etc?

Please acknowledge/respond.
