Re: below. We really need to make Porulaatha Thamil happen, if we are serious about Tamil -- i.e. Tamil won't last long if it is just an incidental language that we use to carry on history for "duty" reasons.

Can you get the Sydney Tamil students who are much more likely to be IT savvy to fit Erumbugals E-Kalappai onto their home PCs and use it to interact with Tamil-fluent Tamils around the world?

One immediate pilot would be this:-

Karuna, the owner of Jamini restaurant in Sydney is very pro-Tamil. He is also into business. Have his daughter to fit E-Kalappai onto his PC to enable him to interact with Chennai Damodharan. Interaction leads to trust leads to mutual cooperation/value exchange/Tamil jobs. We can use their children as bridges.

Chennai Damodharan: Please get your cybercafe owner to enable E-Kalappai on his PC, so that you can interact in Tamil with Karuna. If you interact in Tamil with Karuna, you would be one of the only who can do it and that would up your chances of getting your Appalappus into the Australian market.

Niranjan/Erumbugal: Damodharan has major computer-phobia and he would have gone to great trouble doing this email. Let's take our hats off to his perseverance. He is a very persevering chap, all round. When he started after he lost his job 10 years ago, he cold-called, knocked on doors at Tirupathi restaurants to start his enterprise and now has major market share there. I told him he should have a slogan like "Thirupathi's Favourite" embossed on his packaging and push that mind angle.

Pls give him moral support. I am cc'ing Erumbugal and Thamil Innaiyam to provide exposure to his strengths. Incidentally, the appalappus are manufactured by him with his brother in charge in Trichy.

Consider how we can bring him as a pilot small-scale manufacturer into the Tamildom fold. Use the case study to work out details -- if possible supervise some other Erumbugal to do so.
