For a standard transliteration, we can use some variant
from MTL (Madras Tamil Lexicon) scheme. That will be
some thing like:

The problem that we face in your transliteration is
it's a mixture: For example, a) -TT- is used in "mATTai"
but -D- in "pEchiDum" b) "th" and "dh" is used for
reading/singing the poems loud.

However, there is inconsistency in the letter, ch.
By using "ch" throughout, people get confused
how to say it.

To retain consistency, the pair "ch" (eg., word-initial
positions) and "s" (while intervocalically) can be
used.
