Subject: [erumbugal] Sukhindarpal Singh/Penang -- Introduction

Dear Sukhindarpal,

So good to read your prompt response -- much appreciated.

Sukhinder -- do consider treating your retrenchment, as a blessing in
disguise.

The biggest reason why Australia escaped the recession that affected most
other countries in the Asian time-zone in the last several years were
massive retrenchments in the late 80s. As more and more manufacturing
enterprises shut down because manufacturing was cheaper to do in Asia, those
who were retrenched had to retrain themselves and become more self-reliant.
They had to learn how go collaborate and work together as groups online.
They had to think of new jobs they could do, given their calling attributes.
This they did and did very well, primarily because of rather healthy and
calm mindsets.

Sukhinder - I am very indebted to the Sikhs I was very close to in my life
and I want to return the love and favour the likes of Karamjeet, Madanjeet,
Jasbinderjeet, Madan's mother (we called her "Auntie") and Harbajan Singh
(better known as Samurai) amongst others showered upon me in my pre-teen and
teenage days in Seremban. Harbajan gave me a great opportunity -- to captain
the Gurney Boys Club hockey team in 1975/76. I had so much fun and I learnt
a lot about team-work, fighting and making up, motivating team members and
strategy from that joy-ride. I relish the memories of going to the Gurdwara
in Paul Street, with Madan and Bindi on Sundays and enjoying the tasty
chappatti and dhall -- yumm..what I would give to have it again!

Sukhinder -- I would very much love to work with you in replicating Tamildom
for the Sikhs. Since 1995, I have been striving to do this. Please find out
more about it by clicking and asking questions off
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/erumbugal and the interview link mentioned
there -- come, with your warmth, let us together seed and power a global
Sikh mindcosm. Come let us extend the brotherhood spirit between
Tamil-Malaysian minds and Sikh-Malaysian minds, given this borderless world,
to the whole world. Your exposure to Thamil Innaiya Erumbugal would also
spark your mind on how we can work together to further Penang.Net and
Malaysia.Net -- my other initiatives.

I will get back to you separately on the new Australian Business/Family
Migration Scheme and what role you can play in promoting it in Penang.

cheers../bala
