Anpulla Tamiliam/Nanbargale,
Re: "what matters more, is not where you are, but your dy/dx, i.e. your rate of change".
Once you are well on your way to applying the techniques of increasing your change *speed* to have it closer to world best practise, let me know.
And we''ll interact on the elements of, and how to ride, the d2y/dx2 success horse -- how to master the *acceleration* of change.

Anpulla Erumbugale,
You will pick up several gems from below interaction between me and New
York-based Erumbu Tamiliam -- that is if you are open-minded enough to let
your mind see the gold.

Change Agent Erumbugal At Work
YIM Converation Between Erumbugal "Tamiliam" and "Bala Pillai"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------
bala2pillai: Tamiliam..how's it going?
tamiliam: hi bala.
tamiliam: good
bala2pillai: do you know the Sungei Patani doc who recently entered
Erumbugal?
tamiliam: who?
tamiliam: I know only our jb
bala2pillai: hmmm..u make life difficult for me -- just take 5 seconds to
see the headlines of Erumbugal msgs and if there is a connection -- eg same
hometown -- see it laah!
bala2pillai: ok -- I will dig and let u know
tamiliam: ok
tamiliam: I think I know his wife ... parimala. Sounds familiar
bala2pillai: great -- u have tracked it -- thanks :-)
bala2pillai: he'd be a good node
bala2pillai: potentially..
bala2pillai: cos of the patients they see
bala2pillai: and if we put a poster there
tamiliam: I see ...
bala2pillai: and link them up with a wired to bridge his unwiredness with us
tamiliam: hmm...
bala2pillai: we extend our neural network
tamiliam: how did he found erumbugal ...
tamiliam: did he just wondered in?
bala2pillai: simply put Tamiliam..if you create jobs for Malaysians...you
will have political power
bala2pillai: he must have clicked on one of the numerous numerous with real
content emails I send out
tamiliam: that's true
tamiliam: yea ...
bala2pillai: not just writing about something..but solutions, role models
etc
bala2pillai: i.e. not just external stuff a la "that is happening"..which is
entertainment for most -- been there done that :-)
tamiliam: hmm...
bala2pillai: cos they cannot translate it by themselves into "now what shall
we do about it" cos their mind is in negative ground
bala2pillai: i.e. not default creative
bala2pillai: it is default -- "let us worry".
tamiliam: true
tamiliam: hehe
bala2pillai: and decades ago, I learnt from Richard Myers that...
bala2pillai: "worry is an excuse for inaction"
bala2pillai: it is the lazy who don't want to use their minds for solutions
who invest lots of time in worrying
bala2pillai: his practical tip...
bala2pillai: everytime you worry..self-program..ask oneself "why am I not
acting or listing out possible options prior to acting"
tamiliam: btw bala ... is there folks to provide content?
bala2pillai: and move straight on to a Franklin Balance Sheet
tamiliam: all this thought arranged in proper words ...?
bala2pillai: Yes - Joseph in particular, you
bala2pillai: and I saw another chap volunteering in Erumbugal
tamiliam: At present a lot of content is there in Erumbugal, but I think it
is better if they are rearranged and recategorised
bala2pillai: I totally agree.
bala2pillai: if you can work with Bangalore Joseph on it that would be
superb
tamiliam: The present site which we created is ready .. maybe you could
instruct someone to arrange according to your taste
tamiliam: so your ideas comes out more clearly
bala2pillai: I am also mooting a power initiative that will provide another
layer --
tamiliam: and perhaps soon we could arrange for translation as well
bala2pillai: well, I want others to work together on it - my taste is not as
important as getting people to realise how much work is involved in
articulating groupthink
tamiliam: I have still some coding work left, which I should finish once
Mugunth get backs to me
bala2pillai: I see -- super.
tamiliam: I said your taste because much of the content in Erumbugal were
gathered by you
bala2pillai: once a structure is in place..we can move lots of content from
places like www.tamil.net/special
tamiliam: so you are the one with the best picture how the parts fit
together
bala2pillai: www.tamil.net/people etc
tamiliam: let me see them
bala2pillai: is it easy to update for newbies thru the web itself?
bala2pillai: ok
tamiliam: the special section ... it appears they are all in pdf format :(
tamiliam: Hmm ... maybe it could be copied ... let me see
bala2pillai: no probs there -- responsive Indy Ram..
bala2pillai: will load it up in the format we want
bala2pillai: just need to put the structure up and give him the loading
location etc
tamiliam: cool
bala2pillai: ideally how the new ecosystem of thoughts/dcouments fit
together
tamiliam: so the bangalore joseph ... is he the one devising the structure?
tamiliam: Or is it Babu...
bala2pillai: Bangalore Joseph
tamiliam: ok
tamiliam: maybe you could introduce us .. :)
bala2pillai: YIM = josephjava
bala2pillai: will do -- he is doing Structure minus One now.
bala2pillai: i.e. synthesising in his head the Erumbugal archives
tamiliam: hmm..
bala2pillai: and giving me a report Sat night -- all this in Erumbugal email
:-)
tamiliam: oh, cool
bala2pillai: I guess you prefer the timeconsuming way of repeating oneself
individually instead of group collaboration emails :-)
tamiliam: So he can look around the achival ability of the new site ...
which is really powerful, btw ... and see if it fits his ideas
bala2pillai: or a more optimum combo of the 2
bala2pillai: I see -- fantastic
bala2pillai: what's the URL?
tamiliam: we can also add new modules if and when required
bala2pillai: or a mock location or role model ones
tamiliam: http://tamil.net/erumbugal
bala2pillai: ok
bala2pillai: how about role model examples?
bala2pillai: i.e. other implementations
tamiliam: I am uploading some stuff now ... so you may get some error
messages
tamiliam: no problem
tamiliam: there are actually three distinct categories
tamiliam: 1) News
bala2pillai: if you send an email with role models -- like I do a lot --
than
that will give them structure options
tamiliam: 2) Content
tamiliam: 3) Section
bala2pillai: ok
tamiliam: All capable of handling content
tamiliam: also there is a review section
tamiliam: which can be used to review products
bala2pillai: which are the best phpNuke implementations -- URLs pls.
tamiliam: and finally, I have just added a personal journal
bala2pillai: oh fantastic..I would like a place where I put all my writings
tamiliam: so every erumbugal member will have a journal in which they could
jot down personal details and what they are up to or have to offer
bala2pillai: so I email plus put them there
tamiliam: I am currently adding a forum as well ..
bala2pillai: I see -- fantastic -- I really like the personal journal
idea -- kinda like blogger I see.
bala2pillai: blogger = blogger.com
tamiliam: which has some 'issues' unfortunately
bala2pillai: I see.
tamiliam: I'll check the blogger.com
bala2pillai: what are the issues? let me help u decide on them
tamiliam: there are bugs, actually
bala2pillai: oh ok -- not my area then :-)
bala2pillai: :-):-)
tamiliam: the code isn't really that good :)
tamiliam: but it works
bala2pillai: I see -ok.
bala2pillai: vettipechu works very well -- top 5% of workable sites
bala2pillai: I mean top 5% site
tamiliam: really?
bala2pillai: on a user interface/predictability yardstick
bala2pillai: Yes.
tamiliam: I see.
bala2pillai: if I had that years ago -- I'd be rocking!
tamiliam: It is doing quite well ... getting about 1000 page views/day
bala2pillai: it would be much more than self-sustainin
tamiliam: I have just gathered a small team
bala2pillai: I see -- good.
tamiliam: with whom I intend to work more closely
bala2pillai: good.
tamiliam: and perhaps they could do the revenue generating activities
bala2pillai: provide the structure for them to do so
tamiliam: yes ...
tamiliam: By joining they are expected to work on their own
tamiliam: create their own cells ... I could only provide support
bala2pillai: interaction is key for them to remain motivated..
tamiliam: Let's see ...
bala2pillai: so get one of them to be in charge of that
tamiliam: Yes, I agree
bala2pillai: (that is why I hassled you onto getting on board YIM)
tamiliam: I should thank you :)
tamiliam: I remember those exhortations
bala2pillai: :-):-) -- no probs -- we are all at the end of the day heading
the same direction
bala2pillai: :-):-)
tamiliam: Unless you get onboard, you just don't realise how powerful it is
tamiliam: :)
bala2pillai: and if I die before you as I actuarially will...
bala2pillai: I would rather you carry on then the ideas die :-)
tamiliam: hehe
tamiliam: By then, I suppose there'd be new people with better ideas
bala2pillai: so just think how much more powerful you'd be if you had
converted to my idea on interaction earlier..
tamiliam: And I don't know where we'd be
bala2pillai: this so that you reduce your dy/dx on change
tamiliam: At least for now, we are not left too far behind
tamiliam: hmm..
bala2pillai: meaning anytime you are wondering "why change" flip it to
"bala's change ideas were good" so if it comes from him why don't I ask "why
not change"?
tamiliam: yea ...
bala2pillai: We're very ahead of most that we are pooling together.
tamiliam: that's true
bala2pillai: most have been spoilt by unchanging scenarios
tamiliam: but I think the younger people are more receptive
bala2pillai: word lies
bala2pillai: i.e. they say "Tamils are conservative"
bala2pillai: more precise is they are close-minded
bala2pillai: i.e. not open-minded
bala2pillai: the course of a river changes all the time
bala2pillai: so they are anti-Nature too :-)
tamiliam: :)
tamiliam: but the ossified get left behind ... oh, thankfully
bala2pillai: Yes..and the key...listen carefully to this one Elan..
tamiliam: and the new become more powerful and change the course
bala2pillai: is dy/dx
tamiliam: ok
tamiliam: rate of change?
bala2pillai: i.e. the gradient of change NOT where we start from
bala2pillai: yes
tamiliam: hmm...
bala2pillai: and that is a function of how we build trust chains (so know
who to take change ideas from -- they are short-cuts)
bala2pillai: and then implement them..
bala2pillai: and then initiate change
bala2pillai: specifically "fix things that are NOT broken" before they break
bala2pillai: move first.
tamiliam: hmm...
bala2pillai: before they break or before somebody does it better
bala2pillai: of course you need change agents to work with to manage all
this
bala2pillai: but that is what has the US to lead
bala2pillai: at the highest levels, the likes of Bill Gates..doesn't wait
till something is broken to push change
bala2pillai: like Nature...trees grow for the sake of growing
tamiliam: I like this idea ...
bala2pillai: push the mind to its uppermost limit and keep going
tamiliam: Actually I see it as, you do what you think is right, will yield
results
bala2pillai: Yes.
tamiliam: without too much worried about the risks
bala2pillai: exactly.
tamiliam: which may even fade as you grow
bala2pillai: exactly.
tamiliam: like a tree that suddenly gets extra sunshine because of its
height
bala2pillai: a rosebush is very loved even though it has lots more thorns
than roses
tamiliam: who knows the tree nearbe can get struck by lightning and die
tomorrow .. opening new possibilities
bala2pillai: yes -- another good metaphor -- one doesn't need to wait till
10 traffic light in a row are green before they leave their garage
bala2pillai: just go and in the way we can course correct.
bala2pillai: Rivers do exactly that...when they start off as a spring..
bala2pillai: they just push across earth..
bala2pillai: they don't wait for beautiful banks to be built before bolting
bala2pillai: as time goes on, they improve the banks
tamiliam: :)
bala2pillai: :-)
bala2pillai: brb -- my teacher is Nature :-)
tamiliam: ecovariety ... I remember :)
