இங்கே காரிகை என்னும் சொல் மீனாட்சியைக் குறிக்கிறது
என்று பழைய உரைகளில் (சமணம், பரிமேலாகர், பருதி (சைவர்), ...)
சொல்வதில்லை. காரிகை என்பதற்கு அலங்காரம் என்ற பொருள்
உண்டு. சமண இலக்கணகருத்தர் பெரிதும் விரும்பியாண்ட
சொல் (உ-ம்: யாப்பருங்கலக் காரிகை).

தெளிவாக, மீனாட்சி, கயல்கண்ணி என்று இளங்கோவடிகள்
சிலம்பில் சொல்கிறாரா? மதுராபதித் தெய்வதம் என்று பாடுகிறார்.
