Meaning:
If both the covetous wealth (canganidhi, padhumanidhi)
along with the earth and the heaven are provided to
be ruled, still we would not have any respect for the
wealth of those perishable ones, if they do not have
individual relationship with the Great God. Even if
one is having a decaying body affected with leprosy,
even if one belongs to those, who roam around eating
the (holy) cows, if they possess the love for the One
Who hid the ganga in the matted hair, they are the
gods we salute.
Notes:
1. "ciRRambalam mEya celvan kazalEththum
celvam celvamE - cemban^dhar"
Worshipping the Splendid Feet of Lord shiva
is the imperishable wealth. One who has that is
the one respectable, whatever be the status of that
person the material world considers.
2. cangan^idhi, padhuman^idhi - the great wealth for
which kubhera is the custodian.
3. tharaNi - earth; maN^guvAr - diminishing; EkAn^thar
